Who are making our blankets?
Some of the groups that donate blankets are:
96 volunteers; 40 full-time
| Coeur d'Alene Stake, 4th Street, of the
LDS Relief Society |
Girl Scouts of Spokane Inland Empire
Hayden Volunteers
Idaho Council of Catholic Women
Kamai Quilters - Girl Scouts
Lakewood Animal Hospital - Bruce King, DVM
Spokane Quilters (3 groups)
Spokane Stake of the LDS Relief Society
St. Thomas Catholic Church - Coeur d'Alene
Twin Lakes Golf Ladies
Lots of individual folks not associated with a group also
donate their time and effort to make blankets for us by quilting,
crocheting, or knitting them with love.
Hancock's Fabrics has always been first in line to help us when and where we need help. They are also a drop off point for us. Recently JoAnn Fabrics donated fleece packages that have helped us meet some large needs. We receive many courtesies and assistance from Postal Annex in the Albertson's Mall in Hayden. Barbara Phinney who teaches weekly knitting classes supported Project Linus by asking all her students to knit a blanket for this Chapter.
Other people and organizations donate
things other than blankets such as stuffed animals and postage money:

Pat and Steve Schaver donate many many stuffed animals to Project Linus so our blankets will have a friend to travel with them!
Hayden Rotary Club
Postal Annex, Prairie Ave., Hayden, Idaho
Dr. Laura Foundation of "My Stuff Bags" reimburses postage for donations sent to their organization
Dr. Tom Walsh DDS, Oral Surgeon
U-Haul (boxes to mail blankets to Washington DC)
Dr. and Mrs. Brent Unrud
The Ladies Elks Association
Lakewood Animal Hospital, Bruce King, DVM
